Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department sponsored in 'O2 Fur Life Program'
Thursday September 30, 2010
The Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department has been sponsored in Wag’N Enterprises “O2 Fur Life Program.”
The donation of a kit with three oxygen masks for use on family pets was made by Precious Paws Cat Rescue of Hamburg. The O2 Fur Life Program is a nationwide campaign providing first responders with pet oxygen masks in three sizes. Fire emergencies with smoke inhalation also impact our pet’s health and safety. Budget limitations don’t usually allow for fire departments to make purchases like this one. Now first responders have the equipment to save our pet’s lives.
While humans run away from a fire, animals look for a place to hide to protect them from a fire. Having the cone shaped masks in the right size available will facilitate reviving a pet suffering from smoke inhalation or exposure to dangerous toxic fumes.
If you or your organization would like to sponsor the Hamburg Fire Department or your local fire department by donating the masks, go online and visit www.wagn4u.com/o2furlife.
Precious Paws Rescue is a non-profit organization, funded solely by donations and fundraising events. This cat rescue focuses on finding homes for stray kittens.
As local shelters quickly fill to capacity, Precious Paws Rescue see this donation as a way to have a positive impact on our local pet population.
